At Zaklad Buraka i innych Roalin korzeniowych, Pracownia Genetyki i Cytologii IHAR, Bydgoszcz, Poland, lines homozygous for coloured hypocotyl in the tested sugar beet vars. were highly susceptible to leaf curl and fairly resistant to Cercospora; colourlessness was associated with a high susceptibility to G. beticola and some resistance to leaf curl.
