Res. Bull. Exp. For. Hokkaido Univ 21(2): 377-95

Describes and discusses the frost-hardiness and general resistance to cold of 7 species of conifer (including Abies mayriana, Larix leptolepis, Pinus strobus, Picea jezoensis and P. glehnii, of which P. glehnii was the hardiest) observed over a period of 7 years, in plantations in various parts of Hokkaido, and details the methods adopted to reduce damage, both before and after establishment.
