Studies on the feeding effect of rapeseed oilmeal. 2. Influences of different treatments of oilmeal and castration on the specific effects of rapeseed oilmeal.

Studies on the feeding effect of rapeseed oilmeal. 2. Influences of different treatments of oilmeal and castration on the specific effects of rapeseed oilmeal.

Jap. J. Zootech. Sci 34: 253-261

Entire or castrated male and female rats had diet with 10% rapeseed oilmeal, the meal treated with hot water, hot ethanol or autoclaving, or untreated. The respective treatments were markedly effective, slightly effective or ineffective in counteracting depression of appetite and of growth, enlargement of thyroid, liver and kidney and histological effect on thyroid of untreated meal.
