Studies on the genesis of clay minerals in soil. III. The clay minerals in the soil derived from limestone of the Ogoe district, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan

Studies on the genesis of clay minerals in soil. III. The clay minerals in the soil derived from limestone of the Ogoe district, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan

Tohoku J. Agric. Res, 6: 207-225

In soil derived from volcanic ash and the weathering products of limestone and biotite schists, there occurred montmorillonite (decreasing with depth in the profile), hydrated halloysite (more abundant in the finer fractions), illite (mainly in the coarser fractions) and small amounts of kaolinite and gibbsite.
