In further studies at Univ. Sydney apparently identical genes (Ed1) for resistance to races 2 and 12 of Puccinia graminis avenae were present in Burke and Laggan, and another (Rd1) for resistance to races 2 and 10 in White Tartar and Anthony. The 2 genes are probably allelic, Rd1 being dominant, though it is possible that they may be closely linked and non-allelic.
