Abstract
The growth of pollen tubes was inhibited to varying degrees by acid and neutral fractions of pollengrain extracts, and by a medium containing ovules and nucelli. Pollen grains, ovulate strobili, ovules and conelets were analysed for stimulator and inhibitor content by paper chromatography.
