Among the 150 varieties examined at Chinchu only 28 were damaged by more than one mite but in a later investigation 146 of the 150 were attacked. At Sangchu the 65 varieties tested were attacked. Panonychus citri, the most prevalent mite in Chinchu, was not found in Sangchu, but Tetranychus telarius was found there.
