Twenty-one Czechoslovak Red Spotted cows in their 1st-9th lactations, averaging 3, 226 kg. milk (3.93% butterfat), were used in this experiment in 1958-59; the milk yield and protein, butterfat and solids contents were determined at 14-day intervals throughout lactation. The results are tabulated and presented graphically. The average protein content was 3.18%, being lowest (2.89%) in the 3rd month and increasing subsequently fairly steadily to a maximum of 3.60% at the end of lactation.
