The constancy of fertility of normal bulls as expressed in artificial insemination

Internatl Jour Fertility 5(3): 307-310

The constancy of fertility of normal bulls as expressed in artificial insemination

As observed in practical, large-scale bovine artificial insemination, the expression of fertility of groups of "normal" bulls and is remarkably constant. Variations, though evident, are within relatively narrow limits. Highs of above 75 to 80% N. R. and lows below 50 to 55% N. R. are most unusual. The consistency of fertility and the level of fertility displayed continously over long periods in large populations of artificially inseminated female cattle are not only remarkable indications of bull fertility but also are a remarkable measure of the efficiency with which the process of artificial insemination in cattle can be carried out.
