The effect of sand application on the physical properties and plant root development in Kharga Oases soils

The effect of sand application on the physical properties and plant root development in Kharga Oases soils

J. Soil Sci. un. Arab Repub 3: 117-142

On clayey, compacted, dry solonchak-type soils, sand added to the 15-cm soil layer at 60, 90, 120 and 150 m3/feddan increased yields of rice seed and straw, improved infiltration rate and decreased soil compaction.
