Weanling pigs, 3 groups of 6, were given coarsely ground barley, dried beet slices and a protein supplement, and 2 groups received also 100 or 500 g. green fodder daily. Daily weight gains, estimated when the average weight for each group was 108 kg., were 415.6, 461.5 and 483.5 g., respectively, and the fattening period of the groups given green fodder was reduced by about 10 and 14 per cent.
