Chemical and spectral analyses were made of the mineral content of mycelium, mycelial strands, and fruit bodies, and that of the wood attacked, and the mineral requirements of the fungi estimated in relation to the mineral content of the wood. The presence of 21 elements was established in the fungi: B, Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, K, S, Ca, Ti, V, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mo, Ag, Ba, and Pb.
