The problems of the developing countries from the point of view of economic geography

The problems of the developing countries from the point of view of economic geography

Die Probleme der Entwicklungslander in wirtschaftsgeographischer Sicht, Horn: Ferdinand Berger., 60

An inaugural address by the President of the Hochschule fur Welthandel, Vienna. Without attempting to newly define 'developing countries', the author enumerates the criteria most frequently used in characterizing such areas. He enumerates the regions which can be considered as developing areas and states that roughly 60 per cent of the earth's inhabited area belongs to what may be called the 'developing zone'.
