Tomato (Lyco-persicon esculentum) herbicide screening trials in Hawaii

Tomato (Lyco-persicon esculentum) herbicide screening trials in Hawaii

Tech. Progr. Rep., Univ. Hawai. 138: 25

The results are given of trials with transplanted tomatoes at several locations in Hawaii, in which the herbicides were applied at 30 p.s.i. as directed or non-directed sprays in 40 gal spray/ac., or as granules broadcast overall. CDEC at 4-6 pounds per acre, applied either as a directed spray or as the granular formulation before weed emergence, gave moderate to good control of grasses and broad-leaf weeds and was non-injurious to the crop.
