Using 101 lambs attempts were made to transmit scrapie by subcutaneous inoculation of three groups with (a) heat-treated material from the c.n.s. of a scrapie sheep, (b) 03 Selas filtrate of the c.n, s. material, and (c) the supernatant fluid. Controls were included for each group, the flock being maintained as a unit.
