Information is given on pasture research in Queensland which is still in a pioneering stage, its object being to develop pastures in the 100 million acres which have sufficient rainfall for sown summer species. The work is carried out in 4 main zones: the coastal wallum, the spear grass, the brigalow and the Darling Downs. It is thought that productive pastures can only be obtained by replacing the native and naturalized flora with introduced grasses and legumes.
