Varietal differences in the effects of day length and temperature on the development of the seed in the soya bean.



Ikushugaku Zasshi/Jap. J. Breeding 9: 219-26



A comparative study of three varieties showed that short photoperiods curtailed maturation period, this effect being positively associated with the normal length of the maturation period. Rate of seed and pod growth was also increased by short photoperiods, these effects being similarly greater in the case of longer maturation period.
