Two experiments on seedlings are described, the first concerned with variations in the levels of N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S, and the second dealing with Fe, Cu, Zn, B, Mn and Mo. Many of the deficiency symptoms obtained were similar to those reported in the literature and have not been described again. However, additional information is provided for symptoms of P, K, Ca, Fe, Mn, Cu, B and Mo deficiencies. The effects of all treatments on the dry weights of leaves, stems and roots are presented.
