Portable blowers are connected to an aluminium or plastic main pipe of 2.5-10 cm diameter, depending on length of the compost heap. To a T-piece of the main tube at intervals of about 60 cm, plastic or rubber lateral tubes of 2.5 m length and about 2 cm diameter occur. Parallel with the axis of the latter are 4 rows of 15 openings of 1-2 mm diameter.
