Allergic reactions in oedema disease and haemorrhagic enteritis in pigs. I. Properties of intestinal wall extracte from healthy and affected pigs. II. Experimental reproduction of haemorrhagic lesions in the intestine

Medycyna wet, 24: 342-346; 393-397

Serum samples from a series of healthy pigs and from pigs found to have been affected with E. coli were compared. Examinations were carried out for protein content, electrophoretic mobility, agglutination, haemagglutination and i/d activity in pigs. No significant differences between the serum from healthy and diseased pigs were found. Similar results were obtained using extracts of intestinal wall.
