The tomato varieties Loran Blood, VR-Moscow, Red Top V 9, Utah 13 and RVF-45, all with high or very high resistance to the common strain Vd-2 of V. dahliae, proved 95-100% susceptible to the strain Vd-27 isolated from melons. Supermarmande was highly susceptible to both strains. Apart from the slight susceptibility of cucumbers to Vd-27, both this crop and capsicums showed a high resistance to both strains. Eggplants were severely affected by both strains.
