Rep. natn.Radiat. Lab., Dep. Hlth. N.Z., NRL-F 28, 40

Mean 90Sr content of milk collected monthly from 9 stations throughout New Zealand in 1967 ranged from 1.9 to 17.8 pc/g Ca, with a country-wide average of 6.4 pc/g Ca. Corresponding values for 137Cs were 3-123 and 31 pc/g K. Ratio of 89Sr: 90Sr, which reached a max. of -4: 1 in July, corresponded to a period of French nuclear tests in the Pacific.
