Abstract
Using a range of temperatures and durations of treatment, a technique was established for determining hardiness in Assam hybrids. Shoots with mature leaves are kept at 0 degrees C. for 30 minutes followed by - 9 degrees C. for 2 hours. Varietal differences were observed and critical temperatures were determined for some varieties.
