Abstract
After 1 year of growth, spaced plants of creeping lucerne were dug up and the stem cuttings were grown on to assess autumn growth and spreading ability. Root cuttings were used to examine adventitious shoot production by root segments. The correlation of adventitious shoot production with other plant characters was measured, but the analysis was upset by Fusarium oxysporium which caused rotting in some of the root segments.
