Attempted hereditary transmission of Anaplasma marginale Theiler with Dermacentor albipictus (Packard)

Although blood from an infected splenectomized calf was engorged by the larval, nymphal and adult stages of D. albipictus, and the larvae, nymphs and adults of the next generation engorged on a susceptible calf, transmission did not occur.
