Bagassosis. III. Isolation of thermophilic and mesophilic actinomycetes and fungi from moldy bagasse

Bagassosis. III. Isolation of thermophilic and mesophilic actinomycetes and fungi from moldy bagasse

Proc. Soc. exp. Biol. Med, 129: 2, 351-360

The most common thermophilic actinomycetes and fungi isolated from bagasse included Micromonospora vulgaris, Streptomyces thermoviolaceus, S. griseoflavus, S. fradiae, S. thermovulgaris, S. olivaceas and Humicola lanuginosa. The sera of many patients with bagassosis contained precipitins against cellular extracts of M. vulgaris.
