Biological properties of cucumbers and tomatoes when grown in plastic greenhouses

Maximum leaf surface in the cucumbers was in Dlinnoplodnyj 1294, with 62.5 dm.2; Hybrid 517 had 60.58 dm.2 where the respective parents had 49.76 and 52.33 dm.2 Daily growth increment was highest in Dlinnoplodnyj 1294, with 3.86-4.1O cm., while Hybrid 517 had 3.11-4.2 cm. where the respective parents had 3.0-3.3 and 3.05-3.7O cm. Photosynthesis was most intense in Hybrid 517, with 21.4 mg.
