Br. melitensis antibodies were present in from 4.5 to 12.5% of silver-grey and polar foxes on Kazakhstan fur farms, and in 7% of 241 mink. Nine of the reactors had aborted or given birth to stillborn young. The brucella was isolated from the organs of nine of 327 mink.
