Bundy - the breeder's report. A new mid-season oat variety for northern New South Wales

Bundy - the breeder's report. A new mid-season oat variety for northern New South Wales

Agric. Gaz. NSW. 76: 667-69

Bundy gives improved forage and grain yields in comparison with Belar. It is also more resistant to frost, to lodging and to barley yellow dwarf virus and ripens about one day earlier. Bundy is susceptible to crown and stem rusts but resistant to prevalent strains of loose and covered smut. It was selected from material derived from a multiple cross involving Victoria, Richland, Burke, Fulghum and Winter Fulghum.
