Abstract
In 2-year experiments on a Cumberland silt loam, carbohydrate reserves in orchardgrass after 9, 7, 5 and 4 cuts/year, and 112 and 224 kg/ha N, were compared. In both years carbohydrate levels were higher at the lower N rate, but yields were higher at higher N rates.
