Comparison of the albumin content and composition of kernels in several diploid and tetraploid rye varieties

Comparison of the albumin content and composition of kernels in several diploid and tetraploid rye varieties

Hodowla Rosl. Aklim. Nasienn 12(1): 1-13. Bibl. 27

For diploid forms of winter rye, kernels 2.2-2.5 mm in diameter represented 51.8% of the bulk, while in tetraploid forms 59% of the kernels were > 2.8 mm diam. 1000-seed weight in tetraploid forms was greater than in diploids. Protein content was highest in tetraploids.
