Concrete impregnated with chlordane or dieldrin not tubed over by subterranean termites

Concrete impregnated with chlordane or dieldrin not tubed over by subterranean termites

Journal of Economic Entomology 64(5): 1289-1291

Concrete blocks prepared with water containing emulsion concentrates or wettable powders of chlordane or dieldrin to give concentrations of 1.33, (L 5444) 4/72 17 0.67, 0.33, 0.17, 0.08 and 0.04% in the water were left in a pine forest in Mississippi for five years to determine whether subterranean termites (Reticulitermes spp.) could construct tubular passages over or through cracks in the blocks and attack wood that had been placed over them.
