Roots, stems, leaves and seeds at various growth stages were analysed for N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S. Seeds contain 64% and 77 % respectively of the total N and P contents of the plant. S accumulates first in leaves, then in stems. K is found mainly in young organs, its content decreasing during growth. Ca and Mg occur in older parts, at increasing levels with age.
