Among the several species of Centaurea found in British Columbia, C. repens, C. diffusa and C. maculosa are the most prevalent, particularly in the dry interior regions. C. repens is widely scattered in small infestations and occupies a total area of about 200 ac, the largest single acreage being in the Cawston-Keremeos district.
