Development, survival and reproduction of Camnula pellucida (Scudder) (Grttiopiera : Acrididae) in relation to climatic conditions

Development, survival and reproduction of Camnula pellucida (Scudder) (Grttiopiera : Acrididae) in relation to climatic conditions

Can. Ent, 98: 2, 158-169

The following is substantially the author's abstract. Field-rearing studies of Camnula pellucida (Scud.) conducted in Saskatchewan from 1960 to 1962 indicated that marked differences often occurred in rate of development, survival and fecundity because of differing weather patterns. The rate of nymphal development was usually accelerated as nymphs hatched progressively later in the season when temperatures were rising.
