Abstract
Uterine mucus collected from the cervix during oestrus was combined with sodium hydroxide solution and the mixture heated to boiling point. The reaction was considered positive if the colour turned yellow. There was a correlation between the numbers of leukocytes present in the mucus and the intensity of the yellow colour.
