Data recorded at military dairy farms in 1948-61 on 270 Holstein-Sahiwal crossbreds in the southern region (S.R.) and 306 crossbreds and 162 purebred Sahiwal in the northern region (N.R.) were analysed. The level of Holstein blood in the crossbreds varied from 1/32 to 3/3 1/2, and the animals were grouped in classes differing by 1/8 in Holstein blood level.
