Effect of defoliation by Lymantria dispar on the increment of a Quercus frainetto/Q. cerris stand

Effect of defoliation by Lymantria dispar on the increment of a Quercus frainetto/Q. cerris stand

Gorskostop. Nauka, Sofija 6(2): 45-50

Reports studies for 4 years in a 26-year coppice stand in Bulgaria. Defoliation causes more increment loss to Q. cerris than to Q. frainetto. Wood losses average 2.265 cu.m./ha. per year. KEYWORDS: Defoliation effect on inaement Insect pests of trees Insect pests of trees effect on increment Lepidoptera Lymantria (Porthetria, Ocneria) dispar Quercus cerris insect pests, Lep.
