Abstract
In a field trial at llagan in 1959-64 with 9 tobacco planted 60, 70 or 80 cm apart in rows 80 cm apart or 70, 80 or 90 cm apart in rows 90 or 100 cm apart, yield of fermented leaves was highest (1994 kg/ha) when planted 60 cm apart in rows 80 cm apart and decreased with decrease in plant density.
