Effect of feeding conditions on the fecundity and vital activity of Hylobius abietis beetles

Effect of feeding conditions on the fecundity and vital activity of Hylobius abietis beetles

Zool. Z, 49: 6, 862-8

In laboratory experiments, larvae were fed on Scots Pine or Norway Spruce and the adults were then fed on the same species or the other species. Pine was the better food, resulting in successful development, maximum fecundity and longest adult life.
