Effect of mineral nutrition and soil moisture conditions on number and status of stomata in potato leaves

Effect of mineral nutrition and soil moisture conditions on number and status of stomata in potato leaves

Sbornik Nauchnykh Robot Molodykh Uchenykh. Chuvashskii Sel'skokhozyaistvennyi Institut, 1, 52-56

In pot experiments and field trials with 2 potato grown at different soil-moisture levels and given various fertilizer rates, the number of stomata/ increased with increase in soil moisture from 40 to 75% of field capacity, except in plots given NPK. Stomatal opening was higher with 75 than with 40% soil moisture, except in plots given NK.
