Effect of ratios of feed and nutrients in several feeds on rate of growth, feed efficiency and quality of pigs killed at different final weights and on yield of fresh meat and that for canning, and profitability. 1. Effect of cereals and potatoes on weight gain, feed expenditure and quality of pigs killed at different final weights

Poljoprivredna Znanstvena Smotra. 25: 3, 20

From 35 kg 4 groups of pigs were fattened on meals mainly of maize or of wheat and oats or had boiled potatoes and a mixed meal or a standard feed, and of each group of 10, 3 were killed at about 90 kg, 3 at 110 kg and 4 at 130 kg. Average daily gains to 90 kg were 652, 637, 605 and 641 g, to 110 kg they were 574, 567, 568 and 550 g and to 130 kg they were 613, 632, 614 and 667 g.
