Effect of systematic application of mineral and organic fertilizers on dynamics of nutrients in podzolized chernozem of the Ukrainian wooded steppe

Effect of systematic application of mineral and organic fertilizers on dynamics of nutrients in podzolized chernozem of the Ukrainian wooded steppe

Pochvo-vedenie, 12, 76-83

Nutrient dynamics and crop productivity were determined in 1957-1965 in the third cycle of an 11-course sugar-beet rotation started in 1936 and receiving different fertilizer applications. Moderate and high rates of P applied to sugar beet increased the mobile-P content of the soil under all crops, and the highest P content was under maize. Appreciable K accumulation occurred only with high rates of K, but increases in mobile K were not proportional to the rates applied.
