Effect of temperature of irrigation water on the growth of paddy rice in the warmer region. 6. Effect of day and night water temperature on vegetative growth in relation to a change in air temperature resulting from change in the cultivation period

Pot-cultured rice plants were subjected to different combinations of day and night water temperature for 20 days. Plant height increased with increasing air temperature but the height increases were smaller at high water temperatures. The optimum water temperature for plant height decreased with increasing air temperature.
