Effect of temperature on the immobilization of ammonium nitrogen under paddy field conditions. (Soil Sci. Pl. Nutr.)

Effect of temperature on the immobilization of ammonium nitrogen under paddy field conditions. (Soil Sci. Pl. Nutr.)

J. Sci. Soil Manure, Tokyo 39: 543-547

After treatment of paddy soil with (NH4)2SO4 and glucose and incubation at 50% of water-holding capacity, remineralization of the added immobilized N was advanced with increasing temperature of incubation; this generally occurred when added glucose decreased to 8 or 16 mg. Without glucose addition, inorganic N accumulated more rapidly with increasing temperature.
