Seven-day-old P. sylvestris seedlings were exposed to ca. 3000 lux for 12, 24, or 48 hours, and their content of growth substances was compared with that of controls grown in darkness. In light-treated seedlings, gibberellin contents increased and growth inhibitors decreased.
