Effects of fertilization upon wood properties of loblolly pine (Pinus taeda L.)

Differences in response to N + P + K fertilizer application were noted among 100 trees tested. The specific gravity of an initially high specific-gravity tree was reduced to a greater extent after fertilizer application than that of a tree with an initially low specific gravity.
