Evaluation of protein by estimation of N balance. 3. Comparative study of protein utilisation by growing albino rats by different balance methods

Evaluation of protein by estimation of N balance. 3. Comparative study of protein utilisation by growing albino rats by different balance methods

Arch. Tierernahrung. 19: 59-69

For part 2 see Abst. 4835, Vol. 39. 3. Male Wistar rats weighing initially 70 to 90 g in groups of 5 were used in trials with a 4-day preliminary period and a 5-day balance period; they were fed once daily and given about 10% of their weight in food. Groups of rats given different protein levels simultaneously were compared with a group given different levels consecutively; for the latter the balance periods were of only 2 days with a single day between.
