Evaluation of various crop rotations with rice on the ground of 15 years' results

In trials near Budapest, average yields of rice in monoculture during the 7-11th years of its cultivation were 34% lower than those obtained during the first 6 yr. 6-, 7- and 8-yr crop rotations in which rice occupied 50, 60 and 50%, respectively, of the total cultivated area, produced the best results amongst those under trial.
