Abstract
A questionnaire to a sample of 662 W. German farmers' wives who attended seminars from October 1968 until April 1970 was used to investigate the efficiency of seminars for farmers' wives and the area they covered. The aims, methods and scope of the seminars as well as the study programme are briefly noted. Structural data on the seminar members (age, family, etc.) are followed by an inquiry into the consciousness of farmers' wives of 'their role in the changing structure of agriculture.
